If you have a larger party, many of the event transportation companies will provide you with a larger scale of vehicles such as executive SUV’s, stretch limousines, stretch SUV’s, and executive vans.

RIMM and Secrets of Successful Traders: Unbiased Review

RIMM and Secrets of Successful Traders: Unbiased Review

Awhile ago a friend of mine showed me this ebook that had all the answers to make me a millionaire essentially overnight. I didn’t believe it, but since it was free I thought I’d read it. The website has a lot of hype (as they always do), though the ebook had some good information. I tried out the “strategy” that is offered in the book and…I’m a millionaire! Not really.

But what I did find out was that I could make some good money through doing this. I bought some companies, tried it out little by little and enjoyed it more and more. The book has some basic stock tips and some more in depth information, but it all makes sense. I guess if you really applied yourself you could make a million in a year as they promise, but don’t bet on it. However, it is a great start if you want to begin investing in the stock market and you don’t really know where to start.

I’m glad I got this ebook for free.

I would never have given it any credence before, or bought it even, but then I wouldn’t have started trading online. I’ve already made a fair amount of money and haven’t had to invest much time. I plan on doing this more and more and eventually making it my full time job. Others do it on Wall Street, so why can’t I?

So, my conclusion is that while the book is valuable it’s not everything it says it is. Which most things never are. However, it definitely does work. And what’s even better is that they offer some type of money back. At least that’s what my friend says…

Oh, I just checked the website, and it says you can make million in a year. Haha. While you almost definitely won’t make that much, I’m fine with measly ,000 a month. I’m not complaining.

Here’s the link if you want to check it out.

PS, I’m going to use this strategy to make loads with the recent Research in Motion debacle.

It’s going to be quiet a profit maker.

Making Hard Apple Cider Using Store Bought Apple Juice

Making Hard Apple Cider Using Store Bought Apple Juice

For the home brewing enthusiast interested in brewing apple cider, but who finds themselves located away from a fresh source for orchard milled juice, you will be glad to know that there are other sources for your must. You can make hard apple cider using store bought juice. Store bought juice is a fair replacement for freshly milled juice, as long as it does not contain preservatives. 100% pure juice is best suited to this application, and pasteurized juice may also be preferred, since this process eliminates bacteria or unwanted yeasts that may be present in the juice. I personally used filtered, pasteurized juice from cans, with very decent results! Of course, yeast needed to be added to ferment the juice, as did a good amount of sugar to reach the alcoholic level I was going for, but a decent level can be achieved without the addition of sugars.

Here is the method I used for 5 gallons, which resulted in a slow fermenting, dry, still cider:

1.

Purchase enough cans of Juice for 5 gallons (I purchased 15 cans, which were on sale for .99)
2. Pour the cans into a primary fermentation vessel
3. Inoculate with a white wine yeast. I added the yeast dry, but you may want to start the process by following the yeast preparation procedure on the package. There is no need to sterilize the juice with campden tablets if it is pasteurized.
4. Allow a few days to a week for the vigorous bubbling ferment to start and settle.
5. Transfer the liquid into the secondary fermentation vessel and fit with an air lock.
6. Keep the fermenting cider in a cool, dark place with little disturbance and let the juice continue to ferment until dry (when the bubbles stop).
7. Rack into another vessel or bottle after 30 days.
8. Let the cider age for 6 months to a year.

This isn’t exactly the best procedure for brewing cider, and the initial results showed. I began giving samples to friends and relatives to very little good response. I thought my efforts had failed me, so I left the cider to sit quietly away from harsh criticism and up turned noses. It wasn’t until approximately a year after I had racked the cider into a keeping vessel that I decided to try the cider again. This tasting proved to be much better than before, and I began sharing once again. To my delight, I began receiving requests for bottles of this cider, reminding some of Boone’s Farm Wine, a fact that I am very proud of.

Because of the clarity of the filtered, pasteurized juice, the resulting cider was quite clear, without the use of clearing agents or filtering of the finished product. The only clearing procedure was the racking off after thirty days, and allowing other particles to settle for the year. I’m sure by using a better procedure one could achieve superior results, but I am quite happy with my results of making apple cider with store bought juice.

Blu-ray For Novices

Blu-ray For Novices

If youve recently shopped for DVDs to watch, you may have come across the term Blu-ray. Blu-ray discs are one of the latest technological sensations (not to be confused with bluetooth, which is a mobile phone technology). Blu-ray gets its name from the blue laser that reads this kind of disc. The big advantage of Blu-ray is that it can store a lot more data than the conventional DVD.

DVDs and the like are known as optical discs. The quest to develop better quality optical discs focused on the way they are read by machines. DVDs and CDs use a red or near-infrared laser beam. Blu-ray uses a violet (blue) laser beam with a shorter wavelength. That allows a great deal more information to be written to the disc. The key difference is that a blue laser can be focussed on a much smaller point on the discs surface. The result is that a Blu-ray disc (BD for short) can store six to ten times more data than ordinary DVDs: as much as 50 gigabytes.

The race to reach the next level in optical discs involved a format battle between manufacturing giants, reminiscent of the VHS v. Betamax war over video formats. Toshibas competitor product, the HD disc (high definition) finally lost out to Blu-ray technology. The factor that is widely believed to have tipped the balance was Sonys decision to include a Blu-ray player in the Playstation 3.

What exactly is a Blu-ray disc?

Like the DVD, Blu-ray is also a digital, optical storage medium. It is capable of storing five times as much data as a DVD, meaning it can contain a full movie in HD quality, along with multichannel sound and masses of bonus material.

The Blu-ray takes its name from the blue laser that players use to read the disc’s data. The first Blu-ray discs hit the market in fall 2006, coinciding with the release of the first Blu-ray player, the Samsung BD-P 1000.

Is the picture quality of Blu-ray discs better than that of DVDs?

Yes. Sharpness, detail reproduction, color – everything is better! The five-fold increase in resolution results in a huge qualitative gain. Every Blu-ray disc we’ve tested so far has comprehensively trounced its DVD counterpart. Even the less clued-in users will notice the difference immediately, and the bigger the screen, the more obvious the difference will be.

How consistent is the increase in quality?

It’s not always the same. Extremely expensive, elaborate Blu-ray productions, such as “Casino Royale” or “Mission: Impossible 3″, will beat the corresponding DVDs by light-years. Blu-ray versions of older movies, such as “The Silence of the Lambs” or “Rocky”, often show only a slight improvement over the DVD, unless the movie been remastered.

Can Blu-ray players also play DVDs and CDs?

Yes, they can, but DVD playback exhibits considerable differences in quality compared to Blu-ray playback. No wonder: Here, the device has to both de-interlace the signal and up-scale it to 1080p.

Very few Blu-ray players play back DVDs in top quality, and those that can are largely found in the higher price range. An insider’s tip: The PlayStation 3 plays back both DVDs and Blu-rays excellently.

Can DVD players play back Blu-ray discs?

No, they can’t. This has to do along with your laser that’s used to read the disc. The data tracks on a Blu-ray are significantly finer, meaning the laser beam must also be significantly smaller. For the DVD, gamers use a laser that has a wavelength of 650 nanometers, while Blu-rays require a laser that has a wavelength of 405 nanometers.

Expenses, movie determination, and future proofing:

Is switching to Blu-ray worthwhile?

Is now a good time to buy a Blu-ray player?

Yes, now is a good time. New Blu-ray players are now very sophisticated and well beyond the teething problems of the early models.

What does a Blu-ray player cost?

Blu-ray players from well-known manufacturers currently range from around 180 GBP all the way up to more than 1,800 GBP.

Discount Lion King Tickets

Discount Lion King Tickets

Discount Lion King tickets are rare to find, as it is such a popular and busy show.  It is worth noting that you will not find cheap lion king tickets or half price tickets, but there are offers such as ‘no booking fee’ where you will simply pay the face value of the ticket. What is the Face Value you might ask?  Well this is the value of the ticket which is set by the producers of the show.  You will probably see when searching around that there are many companies offering different prices; this is because ticketer’s and agents are able to add on their booking fee and commission of up to 25% on top.  If someone is charging more than this, then this is illegitimate and should not be purchased. As with all other shows in the West End, ticket offers are normally valid on selected days of the week.  Usually it is mid-week performances when the show is said to be quieter.  With the Lion King, they have 3 weekend performances, so offers are not normally valid on a Saturday night for example, however do read the small print and conditions before purchasing as there may be offers on Sunday shows available.  There are ‘no booking fee’ offers for this throughout different times of the year, so keep checking for deals like this.  Remember the theatre may only discount a select number of seats, so once the ‘cap’ is full, tickets may then return to regular prices with booking fees.  Again these are the small details to look out for! You may also find a meal deal offer as well.  These are great value for money as you will eat before the show and enjoy a 2 or 3 course meal, and then you can go off to the theatre to see the show.  Lots of companies work with restaurants nearby to enable to give you the best price and package. Cheap lion king tickets do not come up for sale.  Whilst the show is doing so well and is so popular among tourists and visitors, the theatre is not that desperate to offer out cheap tickets.  This can also give the wrong impression, people may read it as ‘cheap lion king tickets = cheap show’  when this is most certainly not the case! You can search online to find your discount lion king tickets or offers, or visit some of the ticket booths in the centre of London.

London Theatre Direct have been providing theatre tickets, hotel accommodation and restaurant bookings online since January 2000. History of the Alabama Vs. LSU Football Rivalry

September 18th, 2011 No comments

History of the Alabama Vs. LSU Football Rivalry

The Alabama vs. LSU football rivalry is not considered one of the greatest, most extreme or intense rivalries in college football, but in recent years the intensity has been on the rise. Look for the rivalry to really heat up now that coach Nick Saban has won national championships at both schools. While coaching at LSU Saban won the 2003 national championship and in January of 2010 he won the title at Alabama.

LSU won the first game ever played between the two schools way back in 1895, 12-6 in a game played in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It wasnt considered a rivalry back then because they didnt even play each other every season. They didnt begin to play each other every year until 1964. They actually had stretches of years when they didnt play each other. From 1908-1918 and from 1931-1943 they didnt meet at all on the football field.

It was tough calling the game between LSU and Alabama a rivalry because Alabama was winning most of the games played between the two schools.

Between 1971 and 1981 Alabama won all 11 games played with Paul Bear Bryant as their coach. And beginning with the 1970 season, LSU didnt win a home game against Alabama until the year 2000. This is when the real rivalry started because LSU went on to win 7 of the next 8 games played starting in 2000.

Since Alabama has a winning record against every team in the Southeastern Conference, its hard to establish what a rivalry really is with them. With LSU, on the losing end of a 45-23-5 record with Alabama, you have to pick certain victories theyve had over Alabama in establishing a rivalry with them. One big LSU win came when they were 3-5 and they beat #5 rated Alabama 17-13 in 1993. This loss ended Alabamas 31 game unbeaten streak.

Another game that added to the rivalry was the first meeting between the two schools since Nick Saban had left LSU. His Crimson Tide team lost to his former LSU Tigers 41-34 in a wild game in 2007. But the following season Saban went back to LSU for the first time since leaving there and his #1 rated Tide won an overtime game, 27-21.

Every year now LSU and Alabama are considered two of the top teams in the SEC West. And even more impressive is the fact that they are both considered two of the top programs in the whole country. The rivalry will heat up more and more as each team begins to win games. When teams are rivals, it gets more heated when one team doesnt win every year. And with Les Miles coaching LSU and Nick Saban coaching Alabama, it will be hard for either school to have a long winning streak against the other.

The rivalry between Alabama and LSU shows all the signs of being one of the best ever because each year they play, not only a berth in the SEC title could be on the line, but a shot a national title could be won or lost. Alabama vs. LSU is now considered a great rivalry.

Termites Be Gone!

Termites Be Gone!

Termite infestation can cause a large number of dollars’ worth of damages. To safeguard your home from termites, you need to hire a termite extermination crew who focuses on eliminating them efficiently. It doesn’t really need to be such a hassle particularly if you have access to a termite extermination crew that you could depend on. But how can you determine that you need their guide? Here are some guidelines:

One great way to tell if you’ve got termites is if you discover them. A great tip is that you won’t see them until they’ve already triggered a lot of damage, nevertheless , you can tell by inspecting the wood on windowsills, basement walls, and door frames if they are there. One good indicator of termite infestation is the swarm. No, it isn’t a group of large flesh eating insects that can strip you to the bone in mere seconds—it’s simply a large group of winged ant-like insects that go in and out of windows, doors, and basement areas. When they’re there, there is a good likelihood that termites are too. So you had better move quickly!

A very good sign of a termite infestation is visible damage to wooden property. Particularly good pieces of wood often sound hollow when tapped and have sawdust-like material around it for some strange reason. That simply a sign that termites are eating over the wood.

The best way to protect your house from termites is to protect it against possible termite infestation. There are numerous of termite pest control procedures you can undertake on your own such as treating the wood around your home with chemical agents like Solignum to repel termites. Another termite pest control procedure is to have your perimeters regularly checked by pest control specialists.

Pest control specialists are everywhere, and finding a very dependable one isn’t so hard. They must meet particular credentials of course, and should know what they’re doing and how best to take on their tasks. Luckily, the Better Business Bureau has a list of trustworthy pest control companies which you’ll easily leaf through and select from. One key sign of a great termite control specialist group is if they’re on the list of local and national pest control businesses. This signifies that they’re up-to-date and on par with the best in the country.

Another essential thing to have is a termite bond which would ensure that your house will be covered if ever it does suffer termite damage through the years. It would be a waste of money to pay for termite services for years only to find out that you are not ensured from termite destruction. A good tip is to find out how long and how much the warranty covers and if it is transferable in the event that you would desire to sell your property.

You need not worry about termites wrecking your home, because methods to this once very harrowing issue are now just a phone call away, and the costs, though somewhat pricey, will be worthwhile in the long run. The insurance that your home will stand over the battles of time and pests along with the changing seasons is a soothing thought, and is in and of itself a priceless investment.

The life giving purpose of Rosh Hashanah and the Days of Awe

September 17th, 2011 No comments

The life giving purpose of Rosh Hashanah and the Days of Awe

Rosh Hashanah is considered a High Holy Day, marking the Jewish New Year and signaling the coming of Yom Kippur when sacrifice is made for the sins of the world.

Also known as the Feast of Trumpets, a ram’s horn is blown to mark its arrival and to remind people to make necessary apologies and restitution before Yom Kippur ten days later.

The ten days that separate these two High Holy Days are known as the Days of Awe and are to be used for introspection upon one’s life and choices, especially for any deeds that need to be confessed of.

The day begins with the rabbinical proclamation, “Awake from your slumbers, ye who have fallen asleep in life, and reflect on your deeds. Remember your creator. Be not of those who miss reality in pursuit of shadows, and waste their years in seeking after vain things. Forsake your evil ways and thoughts.”

It was on this day Abraham originally made sacrifice of a ram whose horn was caught in the thicket, thus the use of a shofar or ram’s horn in contemporary celebrations.

The sounding of a trumpet is also representative of the arrival of a king, recognition of God’s sovereignty over the affairs of men.

Women receive special acknowledgment on this day and rest from all work as the women did not give their jewelry to make the golden calf as the men did upon leaving Egypt under Moses in the book of Exodus.

Ole Anthony shares, “On Rosh Hashanah it is said that God opens three books. One is the Book of Life—for those whose works have been good. One is the book of death—for those whose works are thoroughly evil, and one is the intermediate book—for those whose works are lukewarm or undecided.

For the people in the intermediate book, their case will be decided on Yom Kippur, ten days later. God grants the delay in order that all may come to repentance.”

So may the dawning of this day remind us to value those in our lives, to make right what we have done wrong, to apologize where we need to, and reflect to upon who we are and where we are going.

And above all, the trumpet sounds that we might awaken to the precious life we have been given, the love we have received, and the forgiveness and grace God offers as we embrace with in the promise, “You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:19).
